18 OCTOBER 2011 (San Jose, Costa Rica) – Event organizers for the Punta Cana Poker Classic announced today the implementation of improvements to this year’s event based upon feedback from their inaugural tournament in 2010 . The improvements will include adding a professional dealing staff with World Series of Poker experience, and opening up the cash game room to run 24 hours a day.
“We acted upon the feedback from all of last year’s participants,” commented Punta Cana Poker Classic Tournament Director. “We want to get better every year so we made sure to institute the changes that the player’s wanted. These changes will ensure smoother gameplay and allow our players to play cash games night and day.”
Players from last year’s event felt that the tournament could use a more seasoned dealing staff as well as no closing time for cash games. As a result, the PCPC staff will open cash game room to operate around the clock, and will be flying in a dealing staff from Las Vegas, all of whom have World Series of Poker experience.
“We’re thrilled with the new changes and believe this year’s event will defy expectations,” continued the representative. “The ambience of expectation is very nice since we have a lot of surprises and hope that players and their guests have a ball.”
The 2nd Annual $500,000 Guaranteed Punta Cana Poker Classic will run November 8th to 13th, 2011 at the luxurious five-star Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in the Dominican Republic. The $3,500 package includes a $1,500 + $150 buy-in to the main event, 5 nights stay with all inclusive premium food and beverage, $500 towards airfare and $1,500 hotel credit for spa golf and tours.
